About the Conference

This conference is the seventh in a series which began in 1992 in Santa Barbara, USA. Leading world experts in boiling heat transfer have attended each event. The last such conference was held in Spoleto-Italy in 2006, and researchers from twenty countries participated.

The presence of specialists from academia and industry will provide a unique opportunity to promote collaborations for the development of new advanced experimental and theoretical techniques and to gain further in-depth knowledge on boiling heat transfer and its applications. Contributions from industry are particularly welcome.

Conference Objectives

i. To provide a forum for leading researchers and practitioners to engage in collaborative and contemplative debate on contemporary issues governing the state-of-the-art in boiling heat transfer.

ii. To present and discuss recent experimental, theoretical and numerical results regarding boiling phenomena that will advance the current knowledge base.

iii. To explore phenomenological models with a view to applying the current knowledge base to emerging applications.

We are putting together a gallery of DVDs and photographs on boiling phenomena to be displayed during the conference. Authors are invited to submit a technical note concerning the scientific visualization contained in the DVD or photo file, with a description of the image technique employed and the main conclusions or remarks.  To submit your technical notes please use the full paper template available at the web page http://www.boiling2009.com.br. PDF files of all technical notes will be included in the CD-ROM Proceedings of the 7th ICBHT. To display the images during the presentation two data-shows will be available.  It is important that these DVD and photo files have short time duration.
